Ternate- Taaruf parade commemorating the conference of Regional Executive of Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) was very cheerful. The participants were students from Ternate, including the components of Muhammadiyah university students in North Maluku.

The opening ceremony of the parade was done at the square of Ternate municipal building by Ternate mayor Arifin Jafar on Wednesday (26/10/2011). In his opening speech, Arifin Jafar says that the parade conducted by Central Executive of IPM is a positive agenda in the middle of many negative activities such as brawl done by students. The parade was attended by hundreds of Muhammadiyah students, starting from Kindergarten to university students all over North Maluku.

The parade started from municipal building and ended in east coast of Ternate. There, the participants planted hundreds of trees along the coast. According to the committee chair, the action of planting tree is the prove of student awareness towards environment.
