Muhammadiyah Regional Executive (PDM) and Muhammadiyah District Executive (PCM) around South Jakarta for 2010-2015 period were inaugurated by Muhammadiyah Provincial Executive (PWM) DKI Jakarta on October 29, 2011 at Balai Prajurit Korp Marinir in Cilandak, South Jakarta.
Being witnessed by Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP Muhammadiyah), Dr. HA. Fattah Wibisono, PDM chairman Drs. H. Daliman Sofyan, M.Pd, General Secretary of PDM, Subhan Wahyudi, and hundreds of other executive members, they were officially inaugurated by Ustadz Agus Tri Sundani.
The inauguration event followed by the reception of the 102nd Muhammadiyah anniversary was merry enough. Some Muhammadiyah schools in South Jakarta performed various art and cultural performances, among other, angklung by SD (Elementary School) Muhammadiyah 5, Saman dance and Marchingband, hajir marawis by SMK (Vocational School) Muhammadiyah 9, Hizbul Wathon and Tapak Suci (Martial Art)
In his opening remarks, the chairman of PDM South Jakarta, Drs. H. Daliman Sofyan, M.Pd asserts that the inauguration has given special meaning for regional and district executive members because this can be a moment again for organizational commitment to improve ummah, nation, world, and humanity.
In this period, according to Daliman Sofyan, PDM South Jakarta focuses on some main programs, among other, developing Muhammadiyah's business and charity, optimizing ulema cadres, improving Corp Muballigh (preacher) Muhammadiyah, and pioneering the establishment of financial institutions of micro finance institutiondan such as cooperative, BMT. andBTM.
Some Messages
During the reception, some messages delivered by South Jakarta mayor, H. Syahrul Effendi, SH, MM and Dr. HA. Fattah Wibisono, MA. According to Syahrul Effendi, as a mass organization, Muhammadiyah has been long enough in educating ummah through educational and social activities. PDM and PCM around South Jakarta who have been inaugurated are expected to keep educating people's moral so that Jakarta will be more religious.
"In the middle of ever-increasing globalization flow, PDM and PCM are expected to keep educating ummah's moral. This is a difficult challenge for them," said South Jakarta mayor.
Another message was conveyed by the member of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Dr. HA. Fattah Wibisono, MA. According to him, PDM and PCM South Jakarta have worked very hard in educating ummah's moral through education and dakwah (preaching) movement.
Besides, every time PDM and PCM conduct an event, they should involve government official. This shows that as a society-based organization, Muhammadiyah has a good relationship with the government.
AF Wibisono, who is also a day-to-day executive committe of the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA, gave some messages to PDM and PCM executive board.
First, every executive commitee should be close to Allah SWT (God Almighty). This should be implemented by doing compulsory activities such as shalat fardhu (compulsory prayer) and in-the-middle-of-the-night prayer (tahajud). This is very important for spiritual strengthening. Second, every executive committee should increase knowledge. Third, every executive committee should build network and cooperation with any group for the improvement of ummah and country.
