Makassar- The consultant of MPM PP Muhammadiyah (Public Empowerment Council of Muhammadiyah Central Executive), Prof.Dr.Ir.H.Ali Agus,DEE,DEA, visited cow and sheep showroom belonging to MPM Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi in Makasar on Tuesday ( 1/11/2011). There were hundreds of  animals there. He was directly greeted by the chairman of MPM Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi, Drs.HM.Husni Yunus,M.Pd, and some other board members: Drs.H.Arafah Patau,Drs.Sukardi Mulyadi, and Drs.Mahung Sangaji.

 

Prof.Dr.Ali Agus says that the visit aims to see directly the development of breeding system using integrated farming pattern and environmentally-freindly farming system with organic food. Besides, it is to make sure the quality of cows and sheep that will be consumed, especially approaching to Idul Adha 1432 in the Hijr calendar or similar to November 6, 2011.

 

Husni Yunus says the establishment of this showroom aims to help cow and sheep breeders under MPM Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi's training in marketing their livestock directly to people who need healthy cows for Idul Adha. Besides, this can cut the broker's system who has so far damaged the breeders by doing unrealistic sale. By doing new system, the breeders can watch their livestock. Then the sale system is managed by a team of MPM Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi. So Far, there are 210 cows. This coming Friday, thousands of cows will be in the location from all breeders who have been trained by MPM Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi.
