Yogyakarta- Tomorrow morning, Saturday (12/11/2011), there will be 'Temu Akrab Warga IT Muhammadiyah 2011' (Muhammadiyah IT Community Gathering 2011) at the building of Muhammadiyah Central Java Regional Executive on Jl. Singosari No. 33, Semarang. The gathering is a silaturahmi (friendship) gathering for Muhammadiyah IT and social network community.

 

According to the committee chair, Adi Sucipto, when people have been dependent on a cyber world, all information and behavior are suited to digital pattern. “So it becomes a challenge for dakwah institution or organization to start thinking in this concept," said he. Apart from silaturahmi, according to Adi, the gathering will be an event for digging creative, innovative, and solvable ideas in the field of IT as the implementation of khoiru (best) ummah.

 

In the meantime, Majelis Pustaka dan Informasi (Information and Literature Council) of Muhammadiyah Central Executive positively welcomes the event that is planned to be done for 2 days. According to the council secretary, Iwan Setiawan, the journey of Muhammadiyah entering the second century will be more varied, especially in the field of IT.  “We hope the gathering can be one of subsystems of Muhammadiyah organization in empowering IT and organizational cadres in entering the digital era in the future," he explained.
