Yogyakarta- Many people misunderstand industry and see it as factory by using narrow glasses. In fact, industry can have wide meaning. It can mean industry that produces goods or gives service. This misunderstanding believed by people must be corrected. Therefore, given the importance of industry for people, Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) cooperated with Kotagede Subdistrict to hold training.
The training held on Saturday (19/11/2011) at the auditorium of Kotagede Subdistrict office was for people living nearby. The theme was "Management and Information Technology (TI) for Small Businesses". There are 5 offered topics: Production Management, Work System Planning Management, Green Layout, Finance Management, and Marketing Management. The topics related to IT will be given on Sunday (20/11/2011) at UAD computer laboratory, Campus III, on Jl. Prof. Dr. Soepomo, Janturan, Yogyakarta. Those coming to the event were Drs. H. Muchlas, M.T., Deputy Rector III of UAD and the trainers such as Dr. Ir. Dwi Sulisworo, M.T., Choirul Bariyah S.T, M.T., Isana Arum Primasari, S.T., M.T., Dewi Amalia, S.E., M.Si. and Drs. Sukardi, M.M.
"We are very happy because the training helps people having small business develop their business. Furthermore, in the future, Kotagede will be a tourism spot that has been proclaimed by the Governor of Yogyakarta, so small business can develop and get benefit. I hope our cooperation will continue, and the knowledge can be applied by people to make them more innovative and increase income," said Drs. Rumpis Trimintarta, Kotagede Subdistrict Head.
