Yogyakarta- Muhammadiyah has been a changing movement for the life of people in Indonesia. Muhammadiyah, which was established on Dzulhijjah 8, 1330 in the Hijr calendar, has given much to people in terms of education, economy, social, and other aspects for 102 years.

That was stated by Din Syamsuddin, General Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive during 102nd anniversary of Muhammadiyah at Sportorium of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) on Sunday (11/12/2011). The event was also attended by thousands of Muhammadiyah cadres across Yogyakarta province and its surrounding.

Din says that the change doesn't happen on its own, but it is done by the cooperation of all elements. “This change is the result of the cooperation of all elements within Muhammadiyah, starting from subdistrict to provincial element around Indonesia,” he said.

Din also says that the change includes all sectors in society. "For example, the change in education is marked by the appearance of kindergarten to university having good quality. There are still a lot of other changes," he said.

Din says that in its 102nd anniversary, Muhammadiyah gets much blessing from God Almighty. "In its 102nd anniversary, there is much blessing given by God. That's why we have to be grateful upon everything given to Muhammadiyah," he added.

Din hopes that what Muhammadiyah has achieved up to now can be maintained and developed for ummah's well-being. "Hopefully, what has been achieved by Muhammadiyah can be maintained suitable to what ummah expect, and Muhammadiyah can keep performing as a 'dakwah' movement bringing about a change," he said.
