Aisyiyah is preparing anti-corruption education for children

Yogyakarta- Recently, Aisyiyah Central Executive is preparing a character education program containing anti-corruption education for children because educating anti-corruption at the early age will be more effective.

That was stated by Aisyiyah Central Executive, Siti Noordjannah Djohantini, during the event of 'Public Dialog on Mother's Day 2011: Mothers' Concern on Corruption and Poverty' taking place at the building of PP Muhammadiyah on Jl. Cik Di Tiro No.23 Yogyakarta, Wednesday (21/12/2011). Aisyiyah Central Executive, according to Siti Noordjannah, is formulating the format of anti-corruption character building in the form of movie which is easily understood by children. "Through the movie that is seen continuously, children can understand its message," said she. The film is made by cooperating with the former of ICW (Indonesian Corruption Watch) activist, and it will contain the tricks of avoiding corruption modus.

In the meantime, Hasrul Halili from PUKAT UGM (Research Center of Anti Corruption of Gadjah Mada University) says that it is high time for Aisyiyah to be concerned and act to support anti-corruption protest because the party who will suffer most form corruption is women and children. On the other side, acording Hasrul, who became one of the speakers, Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah must give example that their institutions are already free from corruption.
