Bibit Samad Rianto: Muhammadiyah has to support bureaucratic reform in Indonesia
Saturday, 26-03-2011
Purwokerto -Deputy Chief of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Bibit Samad Rianto, believes that support from mass organization like Muhammadiyah is greatly expected in bureaucratic reformation movement in Indonesia since the existing system tends to give a chance for corruption.
Bibit stated his opinion Saturday afternoon (26/03/2011) when giving presentation in National Seminar and Central Level Working Meeting of Tarjih and Tajdid (Law and Reform) Council at Muhammadiyah University of Purwokwerto on Jl. Raya Dukuh Waluh, Purwokerto, Central Java. In his presentation titled “Governance System Free from Corruption”, Bibit said KPK executive welcomed positively the governance seminar for that was one of the country’s problems requiring collective discussion. “Through this activity, it is expected that bureaucratic reform effort gets wide support from society who care about the country’s fate in general,” he said.
At the end of his presentation, Bibit Samad Rianto expects that the cooperation having been conducted with Muhammadiyah universities can be continued because that is a pillar to promote anti-corruption attitude among university students since they are at colleges. (hmz-uhamka)
