Question:
To my knowledge, animal waste, such as cattle, goats, and others were unclean. How is it legal to sell dirt?
Answer:
In the book of fiqh is mentioned, that one of the subject contract is a sacred substance. However, there is among scholars who are allowed to sell goods unclean, which contains the benefits other than to eat. Like selling cattle dung as fertilizer for crops. Permissibility is based on the hadith the Messenger of Allah, which reads:
It means: "The Messenger of Allah passed in front of a goat belonging Maimunah, and he found the dead wasted. Then he said: "Do not you take the skin, and tanned, then can you use?" They asked: "O Prophet, is not he sudab be dead?" The Prophet said: "Verily, who is forbidden to eat it". "
From the above hadith we can conclude that something may be utilized, it may also be the object of sale. During the purpose of buying and selling it is permissible benefits, which in this case the animal manure used as fertilizer for.
